Our focus on backpacks has led to the development of products designed for the safety of children, protecting the environment, comfort in their daily use and the enjoyment of being able to have them through the design of fun motifs and characters.

Our history

1904
Carl Herlitz found the company as a stationery wholesaler.
1960
Established its own distribution organization for West Germany focused in notebooks and exercise books.
1972
Herlitz was transformed into a joint-stock company.
1980
First McPaper store were opened.
1984
Launch of the first schoolbag to the German market.
1987
Acquisition of the Brand Susy Card, greeting cards products.
1990
Main expansion to different countries, Eastern European countries and the US.
1998
McPaper stores were sold to Deutsche Post.
2014
Pelikan Group acquired the company Herlitz.
2023
Hamelin Group acquired Pelikan Group and a new stage start!
